I just got back from a week in Washington D.C.
I was there for a conference on Feminine Leadership.
I had so much fun, met up with one of my mentors + mastermind buddies and learned a LOT about stepping into leadership the feminine way.
Here are some of my key takeaways:
1) Your mission is important.
On the plane, I watched a move called “Birth of a Nation”.
It’s about a slave living in the United States in the 17th century, causing an uprising in an attempt to free himself and his fellow slaves.
He was one of the only slaves able to read, which allowed him to preach the bible in front of thousands of slaves held by their “owners”.
Most slaves back in the day weren’t educated, as people believed them to be too stupid (can you image?!)…
While the movie turned quite aggressive (Nat ends up killing hundreds of men to make his way to freedom), it got me to think.
I learned about Benjamin Franklin, the first president in the United States that wanted to abolish slavery.
And I realized: a part of me felt like my mission wasn’t as important as people fighting for their freedom…
That helping women make money doing what they love while staying connected to their feminine isn’t as important as fighting for the climate, women’s rights or against slavery.
But then I realized…
When women are empowered, everything changes.
When people aren’t empowered, we live in darkness.
That dark age of people living enslaved, is not that long ago.
Not that long ago women weren’t able to vote.
Not that long ago, we lived in a state of war…
And many countries still do.
Someone said to me the other day: if Hitler was treated better by his parents, the things he did wouldn’t have happened…
People are suffering in many different ways.
If we don’t keep shining our light — who will?
How will the world end up if there’s no empowered voices?
I don’t want to think about it.
I’d rather stand up and make a difference.
People need personal empowerment.
People need healing.
People need deep yoga classes.
People need sexual education.
They need whatever it is that you feel called to teach.
It hasn’t all been done before. Your message matters and you’re here for a reason.
2) Your desires are there for a reason.
So many women feel bad about the things they want.
They wonder: how on earth can I want this much money?
That many clients, that home, the big success?
Am I not a bad person for wanting all of this?
Here’s what I grounded into even more this week:
ALL your desires are there for a reason.
EVERYTHING you’re longing for was placed in you by the divine (god/source/spirit/the universe), for you to live out on this planet and make it a more beautiful place.
You having more clients mean you can make a bigger impact.
You earning money means more support to create your epic business.
You wanting to quit your job and start doing what you love means stepping into a higher vibration of abundance and leadership.
All of this isn’t just about you — you’re elevating the vibration of the planet.
It’s your higher self guiding you to where you want to be.
It’s time for us women to become unapologetic about the things we desire.
3) Your ability to call in your desire is directly connected to your ability to receive.
Manifesting the feminine way is NOT about pushing, working crazy hard or efforting.
Sure, there’s work to be done.
(It’s not JUST about visualizing and then eating a sandwich (although, that too sounds great 😉
BUT: if something is not showing up in your life, it’s because you have an active block, a thought, a limiting belief that’s holding you back.
Your mindset is everything.
With much love,
